Not everyone will have the same optode positions as there are various factors such as head size or cap placement. There should be an option in a seperate window to update snirf files with the correct optode positions for the study. A warning should be displayed if optode positions are too close to each other eg: <10mm. There should also be an option to view a participants optode positions after selecting them before the analysis is ran.
