Processing

This page is dedicated to understanding how to process all loaded snirf files once all their individual and global parameters have been set. If you haven't already, visit the Home Page and the Understanding Parameters page before following along with this guide, as this guide assumes you have an understanding of the applications layout and all parameters.

Processing a file with FLARES is incredibly simple. To start, open a file or a folder from the Navigation Bar. Once the file/files have been loaded, ensure that all of the per-file and global parameters are correct for the study. Once you are satisfied with the parameters, simply click the Process button to start processing all the files. Once the Process button has been clicked, the button will switch to read Cancel. Pushing the Cancel button will halt the processing immediately. The number of files to be processed simultaneously is set by the MAX_WORKERS parameter.

Once the processing has been started, it will take a couple of seconds before any of the 28-stage progress bars will update. This is due to the application loading the required resources to start processing in the background. Processing will take some time, however you can validate progression visually by looking at the 28-stage progress bars.

The processing will finish shortly after all progress bars have completed. The Status Bar will confirm once all processing has completed, among with the Analysis button becoming visible. If the processing completes and a progress bar has not finished, then something went wrong processing that file. Checking the application logs could provide insight into what went wrong.

Analysis

Once the processing has completed and the Analysis button has been clicked, a popup window will appear. This popup window will contain different options for analysing the data. Due to the length of describing each option, each of them will have their own Wiki page explaining them. Below is the list of the options:
